Personal Journey

I am Sergio González Nina Taki, an Ecuadorian musician, composer, singer, and artivist. Godson of Mama Andrea Herrera Atekokolli, a Chanupa (Sacred Pipe) carrier and Vision Quester within the Sacred Fire of Itzachilatlan tradition.

My path with plant medicines began in Ecuador in 2012, through the Camino Rojo and the Four Tobacco ceremonies at the Teokalli of Urcupacha, Zhurakpamba, Yololo, and other ceremonial centres across the country, where traditions from peoples such as the Kichwa, Shuar, and Chachi, among others, come together.

My relationship with the Sacred Fire and with medicines such as San Pedro and Ayahuasca has deeply guided both my music and my sense of purpose. Through my musical project S.Taki, I have travelled internationally, sharing songs and good news using my charango and voice. Allowing new cultures, traditions, and sounds to nourish my music.

In offering my art in service to society, I trained as an artistic mediator and worked with communities and children of all ages. Since 2018, I have been working in Barcelona in the field of mental health through Radio Nikosia. Music, creativity, and connection between hearts have always been at the centre of my path.
