Aroa was born in Barcelona, Spain into a family of indigenous Spanish and Bolivian descent. She started to meditate from an early age and in 2019 she began spiritual studies of plant medicine in Bolivia with Amauta (master) Tupak Wayra from the Bolivian national association of shamanic teachings of plant medicine and indigenous worldview.
She lived in the Bolivian jungle for a year and then began to transition to the Brazilian jungle with the Yawanawá people, with whom she eventually moved in 2021 to the Mawa Yuxyn spiritual study center in the Yawanawá territory of the Brazilian Amazon rainforest.
In 2020 she founded the non-profit organization “Camino Del Corazón” through which she began to launch various humanitarian, environmental and phytotherapy projects.
In 2021 she toured Europe with her fiancé Matsini Yawanawá and his family performing sacred medicine ceremonies. She and Matsini meld and unite their music and shamanic paths to balance the masculine and feminine in their work.
Aroa fuses her music and her sound healing experience with shamanic practices from traditional Quechua-Aymara and Yawanawá knowledge. She puts this into practice in Mawa Yuxyn where she works receiving groups from all over the world and deepens her spiritual path in the infinite traditional Yawanawá world of studies and songs.
Guardian and musician of sacred ceremony space.
